Marylynn Fiscus is currently working at the Bellingham School District as a bus driver, while she is working on finishing her bachelors degree in Human Services from Western Washington University. Marylynn is also working for the Whatcom County Public Defenders Office as a intern investigator. As an investigator, she aids in assisting her clients to receive a fair trail by bringing forth all factual information, which needs to be presented for their case. Marylyn has also been a volunteer advocate with Parents Are Vital in Education (PAVE), which assists special needs children in receiving the best education which they deserve, for the last six years. Marylynn started working with this organization because her son was not receiving a proper education due to his disability. She has always had a heart to work with the special needs community. She also shared this heart by interning as an eligibility specialist with Whatcom Transportation Authority with the Paratransit division. There she tried her best to help in assisting seniors and the disabled to increase their mobility by providing them away to get around their community safely.
Marylynns background includes: working as a school bus driver for the last eight years for two different school districts, working with seniors as a personal care assistant, working in retail as a customer service representative, office clerk, and as sales clerk for tens years, and as a warehouse/delivery specialist at a local school district for two years, where she did all the food ordering and deliveries for the district.
